Knowing how to look for a job is extremely important in slow economic times like these (get help here).  If you’re a recent college grad or one of the unfortunate folks recently downsized due to the sudden and dramatic collapse in demand for goods and services you know how bleak the current job outlook is.  All the more reason then to have your A-game on wherever you go, whenever you happen to meet someone.  You have to maintain a positive, cheerful outlook and not let your lack of employment define the spiritual human being you are.

Take time out to make sure you have all your connections and references intact.  Use one of the free people finder resources on the web to track down former co-workers, bosses, and people with whom you’ve done volunteer work.  Everyone knows people networking is the path to land your next job and make your career sizzle… how is your network serving you?

If you’re certain your career is at a stand-still or less… you need to be reading more about how to look for a job because in this economy – no one is safe.
