When I put together my free guitar lessons for beginners series online I had only one purpose in mind – to take the complete novice guitarist from first plucking of a string all the way through their first several solos. I firmly believe I have accomplished that with this free 5 part series (plus two bonus guitar scale exercises).
By the time you complete this series you will have played two types of guitar chords (major and minor), two chord progressions (using the two chords), solo over those chord progressions at least three ways, and hear the differences between the solos when combined with the various progressions. You aren’t going to be a master player at the end of the series, but you will be able to jam with friends and sound quite amazing, and you will have a better understanding of how to figure out what it is you want to do with your guitar playing.
Once you know which direction you want to go, all you need to do is have the right library of guitar information at your disposal to pick and choose from.
