Step two in the online lead guitar lessons series is basic chord progressions. We teach a simple chord progression based on the simple chords you learned in lesson one (electric guitar chords) and then ask you to record yourself playing the progression for a few minutes to save for later use. By the end of this lesson you’ll know one of the most commonly used chord progressions in all of music and will be able to play it proficiently. You will also know enough to be able to play easy songs on guitar with other musicians – and possibly be ready to jam very basic songs on stage with more experienced musicians. Kewl enough?
Once you have lesson two down pat (and recorded, remember???) you’ll be on to lesson three, your first guitar note chart (scales). Remember as always you can sign up to see the free video lessons online.
